Lewabrane® membrane technology treats water streams with high salt content, such as brackish water and seawater supplies. The membrane works as a filter that desalinates the water, but also reduces particles, pesticides, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants.
LANXESS built a new chemical plant at its site in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, where the company already has a high-tech plant that manufactures ion exchange resins which are marketed under the brand name “Lewatit”.
